Carol of The Bells and He ain`t Heavy, He`s my Brother are climbing high in the I tunes chart. Let’s make it Number 1.
This wonderful project had its origins in just three telephone calls between Beaumont Hospital Choir, INMO and HSE from which the dream of a Christmas No1 emerged.
The search for a Conductor of stature commenced and an Inspirational choice of Blanaid Murphy ensured leadership and enthusiasm.
Fifty attended the first rehearsal in the Crown Plaza Blanchardstown and it became immediately possible that the dream was starting to happen. Tallaght came on board with their beautiful Auditorium for further rehearsal and alternating practice with Blanchardstown led to an amazing and inspiring event on Sunday November 6th. Two hundred Health workers from all grades and from the regions of Ireland have produced something we all can be proud of.
Pieata house is the chosen Charity and the choice of He Ain`t Heavy has a relevance for so many families in modern Ireland. Carol of the Bells is just the perfect Christmas carol.
When we work together in the health service we can achieve so much. So, get family friends, acquaintances’ and work colleagues to download the songs and buy the CD when it becomes available. We can inspire and help Pieata House in their important work reaching out to those in desperate need.
