ADC - ‘Empowering’ preceptor scoops award
The INMO Preceptor of the Year award 2013 went to Sarah Hourigan, from St Vincent’s Hospital, who was nominated by Christopher Day a fourthyear student nurse from UCD.
Sarah visited Letterkenny to pick up her prize at the awards dinner at the ADC, where she was awarded with a €1,000 cash prize sponsored by Cornmarket and a beautiful piece of Waterford Crystal.

In nominating the preceptor, Christopher described Sarah as “empowering, supportive and dedicated”
The INMO congratulates the various preceptors who were nominated for the award. Their sheer enthusiasm has left a lasting impression on their students, and their dedication has inspired them to work hard to reach their full potential.
The INMO has made the Preceptor of the Year Award an annual event and is encouraging all students to take part next year.
