The winner of the Gobnait O’Connell award was Anne McGowan. Anne works as a clinical nurse specialist in cardiac rehabilitation at Sligo General Hospital.
She was nominated for this award by her nursing colleagues in the INMO’s Sligo Branch. Anne is a stalwart of the Sligo Branch and is a most deserving winner. Those who know her will readily agree, her energy is boundless, her enthusiasm never ending and her professionalism unquestionable. She served on the Organisation’s Executive Council and was second vice president from 2010-2012.
Speaking on Anne’s award, Maura Hickey, IRO said: “This is an award long overdue to Anne in recognition of all her years of service and dedication to the INMO.”
