ED Overcrowding - Dec 18

The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation (INMO), in its latest Trolley Watch analysis, has recorded 7,011 patients on trolleys in December 2018 awaiting admission for in-patient treatment. This represents a -11% decrease when compared to December 2017.

2018 is the worst year for hospital overcrowding as 108,227 patients went without hospital beds, a record high. View annual report here.
