Helplines

Help lines and mental health support 

Through ARAG and Cornmarket INMO members have 24-hour access to a range of personal and mental health supports including legal advice, domestic assistance, and a digital mental health hub especially for nurses and midwives.  

These specialist services are free to INMO members and are designed to complement the professional supports provided by the INMO to nurses and midwives in their workplaces and throughout their careers.

24 hour helplines

Legal advice – 0818 670 707 or 01 670 7472 

The ARAG legal advice helpline will give members confidential legal advice over the phone on any personal legal problem under the laws of the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom.  Of course, for employment related advice, INMO members should contact their industrial relations officer.  

Domestic assistance – 0818 670 707 or 01 670 7472 

The domestic assistance helpline will arrange help or repairs needed in the event of a domestic emergency, such as a burst pipe, blocked drain, broken window, or building damage. Members would still be responsible for help/repair costs. 

Counselling – 1800 670 407 or 01 881 8047 

Our professional and confidential counsellors staffing the 24-hour counselling helpline, provide independent and non-judgmental support. Total anonymity is guaranteed, and the counsellors will give you the opportunity to talk through your troubles an assist you in finding ways of dealing with them.
