The INMO alongside Fórsa, Connect, MLSA and Unite trade unions attended a conciliation conference with the HSE in the Workplace Relations Commission yesterday (Thursday).

Speaking following a meeting with the CEO of the Health Service Executive, the INMO, Fórsa, Connect, Unite, and the MLSA have expressed disappointment with the HSE’s cavalier attitude to a dispute that is due to begin in the form of a work-to-rule by over 80,000 workers in the public health service March 31st 2025.

A delegation from the INMO met with the HSE yesterday to discuss contingency planning for our upcoming work-to-contract/rule, due to begin on March 31st.

Last Thursday we let you know that we intended to serve notice for industrial action on the Health Service Executive and Section 38 Voluntary Hospitals. We confirm that this notice was served.

Fórsa and the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation have served notice of industrial action to the HSE today (Monday 10th March), marking an escalation in the dispute over the effect of the HSE’s ‘Pay and Numbers Strategy’ which imposed a fixed employment ceiling across all health services.
