Three high-level resignations over a lack of progress on Sláintecare health reforms are causing “huge concern” among nurses and midwives, the INMO Executive Council warned today.

Over 90% of adults in Ireland are now vaccinated – an incredible testament to the work of nurses and midwives across Ireland.

Ireland’s major health unions today (Sept 9) called for an “urgent recommitment” to the Sláintecare health reform programme, following the resignation of two senior officials associated with the project. 

395 patients were being treated on trolleys in Ireland’s hospitals this morning, INMO figures have revealed.

Approximately 50 nursing posts are unavailable to cover frontline services in Naas General Hospital, the INMO has warned.
