Vacancies have now arisen for two Industrial Relations Officers to service our growing membership for the Dublin and Galway areas (panels for future appointments may be made by region):

• Dublin Office: South Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare, Laois and Offlay
• Galway Office: West & Northwest region

These challenging posts involve the provision of expert professional services in the areas of industrial relations, professional development, training and recruitment.

Essential requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years full time trade union official experience
• A relevant third-level qualification (nursing qualification is desirable, but not essential)
• Demonstrable commitment to trade unionism and social justice
• Excellent organisational, communication, and teamwork skills
• Experience in negotiation and representing groups and individuals, including where collective and individual rights have potential conflicts
• Valid full Driving Licence

Desirable requirements:

• Knowledge of the Irish Health Sector
• Knowledge of the professional requirements for nurses and midwives
• Experience in employment law,  industrial relations and or Human Resource Management
• Nursing/midwifery qualification
