Long Covid Paid Leave

You may have received a notification from your Employer informing you that the Special Leave with Pay in respect of Long Covid is due to cease with effect from the 31^st of March 2024. 

The instruction from the Department of Health has made it clear that Special Leave with Pay will not be continuing beyond this date however the Unions remain engaged with the HSE and the Department of Health in relation to the Labour Court Recommendation LCR22859 which was issued on this matter on the 16^th of November 2023.  

Please be advised that the Unions will be meeting the Department of Health and the HSE next week on this matter and in the event there is no agreement on arrangements for Long Covid the Unions will refer this matter back to the Labour Court for a full determination.
