Update on Covid Vaccine

Just for your information, all members can begin registration via a dedicated HSE portal from Tuesday 09th of February 2021 prior to vaccination.  In advance of registration, we would ask all members to read important advice on what you need to have ready before you attempt to register.

Frontline healthcare workers and GPs will get a link to register on the COVID-19 vaccines portal from the HSE or a healthcare body, for example the Irish College of General Practitioners (ICGP).

Special guidance for healthcare workers seeking to register for vaccination are available.

This special website page includes details of helpline numbers you should contact if you experience any difficulties.  We will not be able to assist you with any technical queries, so please read the guidance in advance to ensure you avoid unnecessary difficulties.

We wish to emphasise that the HSE registration portal will only work by use of the Google Chrome browser so you will need to download Chrome in advance if you wish to register.  Users will also need to have their PPS number to hand.  The HSE guidance page also explains the process once practitioners register and the follow-up next steps involved including emails which HSE will send subsequently.  A video that explains the registration process can also be viewed on the HSE registration guidance page.

The portal link will become available Tuesday February 9th, 2021. The portal will be used to facilitate the scheduling of your vaccination appointment. After registering your details, you will receive a notification with details of your vaccine appointment date and location and a link to re-access the system to consent to the vaccination.

A copy of correspondence received last Friday from the HSE Chief Clinical Officer, Dr Colm Henry, can be viewed .

The HSE has also provided a revised sequencing document for health care workers both in the HSE and other healthcare settings including dental practices. This document will assist and support the HSE in identifying the most at-risk staff and prioritising them for vaccination when supplies are limited.

Please note that the INMO cannot help with any technical difficulties’ members may encounter with registration from tomorrow.  However, if major difficulties are arising for individuals or groups, that you have been unable to resolve directly, please contact the INMO. Further Updates will issue in due course.
