Further to the previous notice issued on Friday 12th July 2024, the circular from the HSE to implement the agreement that CNS grades are encompassed as a linked grade to the extension of CNM2 salary scales, will issue next week. It is confirmed that this extension does apply to CNS/CMS grades and that it will apply from the original date of 30th September 2023.
The Department of Health has now raised an issue concerning Clinical Placement Coordinators, and we have reiterated our consistent point to them which is - all linked grades to the CNM2 salary scale are encompassed by this agreement. The linked grades are CNS/CMS, and clinical placement coordinators (CPC). We do not see any basis for a different approach from the Department of Health to these linked grades. We do not accept this approach and we have made that explicitly clear to the Department.
All the relevant documentation and circulars have been re-issued to DOH (as was the case with the CNS situation) and we have further engagements with the Department next week.
We will arrange and notify all those listed as CPCs on our memberships system of any update and will also arrange for an online meeting on August 15th to fully brief members of the status of this issue. Details will issue separately to this group of members.
