Your Executive Council has considered the new public sector pay agreement for public sector employees and is recommending that members accept the proposals and vote yes.

Negotiations on public sector pay resumed yesterday after talks stalled when unions made clear that previous government offers fell short on pay. 

Public sector trade unions have sought cost of living increases for our collective members working in the public and civil service. 

Update on staffing and Public Sector Talks

Public Sector Pay talks will begin today for a successor to the Building Momentum agreement. The focus of trade unions at these talks is trying to reach an agreement on short-term pay measures to address the cost of living and labour market pressures.
