Urgent Plan B needed from HSE - INMO

Upon the publication of today’s TrolleyWatch figures which show 287 patients on trolleys, the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has called on the HSE to publish and implement a Plan B for dealing with the capacity crisis that is escalating within our public acute hospital system.

Responding to persistent levels of overcrowding Letterkenny University Hospital, the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has called for a bespoke plan to tackle issues of overcrowding and staff safety in the hospital.

Healthcare workers must not be exempt from 5 Day Isolation Rule – INMO, SIPTU, FÓRSA

Following the announcement by HSE Chief Executive Officer, Paul Reid, that he is seeking a derogation for healthcare workers to be exempt from the new five-day rule to self-isolate if a member of their household becomes infected with COVID-19, the National Joint Council group of healthcare unions have written to the HSE opposing this plan.
