Nurse and Midwife Representative Training

The aim of the Basic Representative Training Course is to provide members with the knowledge, skills and confidence to represent and support members in the workplace. The representative also acts as a liaison between INMO members, INMO officials and INMO head office.

The INMO also provides an Advanced Representative Training Course. To attend this training members are required to have completed the Basic Representative Training and to have been an active INMO representative in the workplace for at least one year. 

Upcoming training dates

The training course takes place over two days and there are agreements within the public health service for paid released time off to attend INMO rep training courses. 

  • 11th and 12th of February 2025 - INMO rep training in Cork
  • 17th and 18th of February 2025 - INMO rep training in Dublin
  • 5th and 6th of March 2025 - INMO rep training in Dublin
  • 11th and 12th of March 2025 - Advanced INMO rep training in Dublin
  • 25th and 26th of March 2025 - INMO rep training in Limerick
  • 26th and 27th of May 2025 - INMO rep training in Dublin
  • 4th and 5th of June 2025 - INMO rep training in Waterford
  • 11th and 12th of June 2025 - INMO rep training in Galway
  • 22nd and 23rd of September 2025 - INMO rep training in Dublin
  • 1st and 2nd of October 2025 - INMO rep training in Sligo
  • 21st and 22nd of October 2025 - INMO rep training in Cork
